Strangely, today while reading about the "Mysteries of Ancient America Uncovering the Forbidden" in the beginning chapters of Vol. 2, I ran across this very saying, in short phrases, though it was not attributed to Kipling. I had to look up "odious" woman for clarification. When, after reading this, I went back into the book to see how the saying applied, but I could find it not. And that after much searching in Volumes 1 and 2. Searching my computer history, I see that I DID look up "odious" but I cannot find the passage anywhere in either book at this time. Curious.
