With Lula’s victory in the Brazilian elections, the largest nations of Latin America have, for the first time in a while, like-minded leaders.
Will this bring about renewed Latin American solidarity? Bilateral relations between Colombia and Venezuela are much improved of late. The same may happen between Argentina and Brazil. It’s not possible now to say where these and other rapprochements may lead, but sometimes big things come from small steps.
